Taking part were our charity bike ride veterans Chris Newell, Mark Hendrick, Adrian Howells and Barrie Ross-Dow, who were joined this year by Calvin Bond. The team traversed the Alps into Nice, following the historic Route Napoleon and averaged approx. 85 miles per day. They climbed an impressive total of 7,013 metres, over the four day cycle.

Sadly, early on in the ride Mark Hendrick took a nasty fall at speed resulting in broken ribs and a damaged shoulder which saw him reluctantly have to pull out of the ride, but he continued to support the rest of his teammates.

The team rode in support of various charities including:
Bliss - the leading UK charity raising funds for babies who are born premature and sick. They rely on donations to fund their work, and without our help they won't be able to reach the 90,000 babies needing neonatal care each year.
