Specialist expertise
Rehan is a Managing Director within the restructuring team and a licensed Insolvency Practitioner, advising businesses facing financial and operational distress. He heads up our Leeds office.
He works predominantly with mid-market businesses, though his experience extends across SMEs and large corporates alike. Rehan advises management teams and their stakeholders on a broad range of strategies to help them overcome significant challenges, with a clear focus on maximising creditor returns and preserving jobs. He is well regarded as a trusted, go-to adviser for distressed businesses across the North, known for his practical, robust, and solutions-led approach.
Rehan has also developed a growing niche advising family offices and private equity funds, helping them understand and mitigate exposure within distressed investments by providing clear, commercially minded solutions at every stage.
His case experience is wide-ranging and includes the appointment as Liquidator of a national chain of eateries, the Administration of a large car dealership, the Liquidation of a specialist recruitment firm, and a number of complex matters involving fraud, asset tracing, and cross-border recovery work across UK and foreign jurisdictions - delivering substantial returns to creditors.
Rehan brings over 20 years of experience across a diverse range of sectors, including real estate, hospitality, leisure, light manufacturing, aviation, retail, chemical and petrochemical distribution, legal and regulated activities, construction, motor retail, waste management, food manufacturing, and financial services.
About Rehan
Rehan is a licensed Insolvency Practitioner and holds the Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) qualification. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3). He is also a licensed Insolvency Practitioner in the United Arab Emirates.
Prior to joining Quantuma in 2019, Rehan ran his own insolvency practice, specialising in advice to SME and mid-market businesses. He grew the firm from a standing start - with no clients and no infrastructure - into a top-30 independent insolvency practice in England, with three offices across the Midlands and the North. The growth and reputation of the practice ultimately attracted the attention of Quantuma, leading to a merger with the firm.
Outside of work, Rehan enjoys spending time with his two young sons, who keep him busy with a full schedule of extra-curricular activities. A keen sports enthusiast, during summer weekends you'll find him playing cricket for his local club, attempting to lower his golf handicap, or on the football pitch.
