Michael has over 25 years’ experience advising lenders, small and medium-sized enterprises, corporates, distressed investors and individuals in complex financial restructuring and recovery situations across various industry sectors and jurisdictions. Michael prides himself on saving jobs, businesses and maximising value for all stakeholders.

His specialisms include business turnaround, performance improvement, supporting accelerated mergers, acquisitions and disposals, and accepting formal insolvency appointments as, amongst other things, liquidator, administrator, receiver and trustee. 

He works with a range of referrers and instructing parties including accounting and advisory firms, institutional lenders, law firms, private equity, turnaround managers, company doctors, and distressed investors.

About Michael

Michael is a qualified chartered accountant (ICAEW fellow) and licensed insolvency practitioner. During his career, he spent over a decade working at Big Four firms before starting his own firm of insolvency practitioners and business rescue experts in 1998. He is a founding director of the Turnaround Management Association.
