Derek provides a range of restructuring and insolvency services alongside business analysis and strategy, disposals, growth and development capital and turnaround and interim support.

Derek has advised multiple businesses in financial distress and has extensive experience advising small and medium-sized enterprises, and working with chartered accountants and registered bookkeepers.

His sector experience includes building and construction, business services, e-commerce, healthcare, hospitality and leisure and retail.

Derek began his career with a Big Four firm and progressed to senior roles within a number of insolvency and professional services firms. He has also worked as a regional consultant for the Turnaround Management Association.

Derek has a Life Insurance Association qualification and also a Financial Planning Certificate levels 1, 2, 3 and 4. 

Outside of work, Derek has a pilot licence and is an experienced balloon pilot. Derek is also a founder member of the UK Back Gammon Federation.
