David's work focuses on a combination of the legal sector in relation to commercial disputes and expert witness work, and in the wider business sector, in relation to fraud investigations. He is an experienced expert witness who has given evidence in Scotland and England. He understands the commercial aspects of disputes and provides pragmatic advice, as well as technical expertise. His ability to explain complex matters in a straightforward and easy to understand manner has been praised by solicitors, barristers and clients.

David provides forensic accounting and expert witness services to his clients, who range from individuals to owner managed businesses, mid-market businesses and large corporates. His specialist areas include disputes and investigations. Within the disputes market he is regularly instructed in business and share valuations, shareholder disputes, matrimonial disputes, unfair prejudice claims, post-transaction disputes, loss of profits/earnings claims and professional negligence claims. Investigation expertise includes fraud, money laundering, proceeds of crime and a range of compliance matters. 

David has been involved in a wide range of forensic accounting cases ranging from international money laundering cases, CPO cases, valuing a corner shop in divorce, accounting irregularity investigations and partnership disputes etc.

About David

David qualified at a mid-tier firm in 2004 before transferring to Australia for two years. Returning to the UK, he joined another mid-tier firm and set up their forensic accounting practice in Scotland. He joined the forensic team of a Big Four firm in 2015 before joining Quantuma in 2021. 

In his spare time, David enjoys watching football and playing golf (to a below average level), when he's not trying to keep up with his four children.
