Our dedicated FS team is headed by Managing Director Dina Devalia, an FS sector specialist who works exclusively with regulated businesses. Dina is both a licensed and qualified restructuring professional, as well as a leading regulatory specialist, having spent ten years of her career at the Financial Services Authority (predecessor to the FCA). Since 2012, Dina has specialised in advising FS firms when facing challenging trading conditions, insolvency and regulatory issues.

Dina is a Managing Director in our Restructuring and Insolvency team specialising in advising regulated financial services entities. Based in London, Dina has extensive experience in assisting management with organised wind downs and has built a strong reputation with regulators.
Dina is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a licensed Insolvency Practitioner (IP) and has over 20 years' experience advising on financially distressed situations, regulatory enforcement and insolvency relative matters.
Since 2012, Dina has specialised in advising credit unions based in England, Scotland and Wales when facing: challenging trading conditions or insolvency, both Prudential and conduct related issues, capital requirement breaches/ceilings, and SCV file preparation and loan provisions.

Sean is a Managing Director in our Restructuring and Insolvency team specialising in advising regulated financial services entities and other regulated businesses. Based in Brighton, Sean has extensive experience in advising firms facing financial and operational distress, working with management teams, as well as their advisers to overcome the challenges they face.
Sean's sector expertise includes financial services firms, such as distressed IFA’s, pension providers and SIPP platforms, as well as leading the firm's professional practice division. Sean‘s clients benefit from his clear, robust and solutions-led advice, which enables him to maximise creditor returns and job rescues. Stakeholders also benefit from his experience, deep regulated sector knowledge and his technical expertise.

Michael Kiely

Michael is a restructuring specialist whose expertise includes insolvency, corporate recovery and handling large, complex and sensitive assignments. He has over 25 years of experience in providing vital support to distressed businesses and acts for the management teams, as well as stakeholders, of a range of businesses.
With extensive financial services sector expertise, Michael has advised on a large number of transactions, including the special administration of Hartmann Capital Limited. This case involved the winding down of Hartmann Capital, an investment broker/bank, returning £65 million client assets and monies to clients. Other asset recoveries included the issue of a claim against a former director which was settled in mediation. As an insolvency practitioner, Michael is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association and an active member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals.
Chris Lewis

Chris is a restructuring specialist, licensed insolvency practitioner and Chartered Accountant. He has over 20 years’ restructuring experience working with SME’s, corporates, lenders and other stakeholders of a broad range of businesses, in an advisory and formal insolvency capacity. In times of distress, Chris provides companies and their directors with clear, concise advice and leads assignments with a view to facilitating turnaround, accelerated M&A, or solvent liquidation, where possible.
Chris has a range of experience in financial services, including advising on and supporting the wind-down and MVLs of regulated financial advisory businesses, and running several credit union insolvencies, including liaising with the FCA and FSCS and managing loan book collections and member engagement.
Kelly Mitchell

Kelly is a restructuring specialist who provides tailored solutions for businesses and stakeholders navigating financial distress. A licensed insolvency practitioner and Chartered Certified Accountant, Kelly has over 25 years’ experience in financial analysis and insolvency processes.
Kelly’s sector experience includes FCA-regulated organisations. She was notably appointed Joint Administrator of One Life Funeral Planning Ltd, where creditor losses exceeded £20m, and Not For Profit Funeral Plans Ltd, with creditor losses approaching £2m. She worked closely with the FCA to ensure clear, transparent, and appropriate communication with consumers.
Kelly was also appointed Joint Liquidator of Crystal Legal Service Ltd, a PPI claims management company, where funds were held on trust for plan holders. Working alongside the FCA, Kelly helped facilitate the return of those funds to plan holders. She has also led numerous financial investigations into corruption and fraud.
Jeremy Woodside
Managing Director, Restructuring & Insolvency
A qualified chartered accountant and licensed IP, Jeremy has over 30 years of experience in restructuring, insolvency and advisory work for secured lenders, asset-based lenders, directors and a wide range of stakeholders. Jeremy has significant FS experience, including leading work on The House Crowd Limited, an FCA regulated P2P lender subject to a VREQ. This matter involved early and consistent liaison with the FCA around our initial engagement to prepare the wind-down plan. Regular liaison was maintained throughout, and the FCA consented to the appointment of Administrators.
Jeremy is also Joint Administrator of multiple companies within The 79th Group, an unregulated investment group that entered administration in 2025 following a City of London Police fraud investigation totalling c.£150m and c.4,000 retail investors. He has served as a committee member of R3 and previously sat on the ICAEW’s Insolvency and Restructuring Committee.

Paul is a Managing Director in our Restructuring & Insolvency team. Based in London, Paul has a depth of experience in advising firms facing financial and operational distress, working with their management teams and advisers to overcome the challenges they are facing.
A Chartered Accountant and licensed Insolvency Practioner, Paul has around 25 years' experience in mid-market corporate recovery. His expertise also includes pre-insolvency options analysis, contingency planning, accelerated business sales as well as receivership, administrations and liquidation implementation. Paul is a robust commercial and ambitious advisor who is noted for his commitment to clients in complex situations.
