The business and background
Agronaturalis was formed by a group of experienced developers in agricultural and pesticide products to develop and curate new products that were natural rather than chemically driven. A natural fungicide development and supply business, they created a product set that can meet organic farming standards when used.
What we did
Our team, led by two Corporate Finance managing directors, acted as lead advisors to Agronaturalis on its sale to French professional agriculture and crop disease prevention company DeSangosse.
We oversaw the entire transaction process, including helping to guide the business through its preparation for sale, identifying buyers, negotiating terms and price, and agreeing a handover plan between both the exiting and continuing management and DeSangosse.
The outcome
Despite the process having to be conducted entirely remotely due to travel restrictions imposed by lockdown, we delivered a positive outcome for shareholders, both in terms of value and delivering on the firm's exit objectives.
The deal, which represented an exit for the founder shareholders, facilitated the next stage in the expansion plans for Agronaturalis as part of DeSangosse, enabling the development and sales of their products into a broader global footprint.
