Specialist expertise

In addition to his role as CEO, Carl is a restructuring and insolvency specialist; his expertise include delivering practical and long-term solutions to a range of businesses facing financial difficulty. His sector experience includes retail, property, construction, international and complex situations as well as professional football clubs.

Carl's 30 years of experience in restructuring and as an insolvency practitioner, enables him to deliver robust, practical and long-term solutions to a vast range of businesses across the corporate spectrum. These include large and listed companies as well as businesses operating in the mid-market.

Carl is a highly-regarded insolvency practitioner, recognised by his professional peers as the go-to expert for businesses seeking turnaround, refinancing, restructuring and insolvency solutions. He has developed relationships with a significant range of fellow professionals in addition to lenders from both the clearing and challenger banks, as well as alternative providers of finance. These relationships are effectively leveraged to achieve better outcomes for clients.

Carl’s recent assignments have included Project April, a cross-border liquidation of a complex series of offshore investments to realise value for stakeholders. He was joint administrator of I-Vapo, an e-cigarette retailer, where he managed to affect a pre-pack sale saving a significant amount of jobs. He was also appointed administrator of a cash-back website retailer T.B. Seen Limited, which had substantial and highly-contentious, incomplete property developments in the North West.
