Victoria is a compliance specialist; she provides advice on technical queries in relation to case matters as well as coordinates and oversees the requirements of the recognised professional bodies who license Quantuma's insolvency practitioners.

Specialist expertise

Victoria is a managing director of compliance, working within the quality and risk department. She is responsible for ensuring that the firm maintains high standards of regulatory compliance and keeps up-to-date with both insolvency and associated legislation together with best practice directives. This is important given the major legislative changes which Victoria and her team have needed to respond to effectively in recent years.

She is regularly asked to advise on technical queries in relation to case-specific matters and strives to provide responses which are balanced between the interests of commerciality, therefore providing insolvency cases with value for money as well as guaranteeing legal adherence. She also coordinates and oversees the requirements of the recognised professional bodies who licence the firm's insolvency practitioners.

Prior to working within the regulatory side of the insolvency industry, Victoria gained practical case experience by being involved in high-profile trading administrations of a phone company and clothes manufacturer, together with administering a varied portfolio of cases. This practical exposure has ensured that Victoria understands what is sometimes the contradictory needs of regulatory requirements and what can reasonably be achieved. She enjoys the challenges that this can present.

About Victoria

Early in her career, Victoria took the Certifcate of Proficiency in Insolvency exams and passed with distinction. She followed up this success by gaining a first time pass at the Joint Insolvency Examination Board exam. Victoria is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association and Association of Business Recovery Professionals, R3.

Victoria originally joined the insolvency department of a mid-tier accountancy firm in 1998 and then worked for another mid-tier accountancy firm. After a brief spell abroad, she re-joined her previous firm in 2009 and was subsequently promoted to Compliance Manager. She has worked for Quantuma since 2015.

Victoria enjoys spending time with her family and friends and can regularly be found in her wellies supporting her sons’ numerous sporting activities. She also loves travelling and has recently dusted down her trainers due to a new-found enthusiasm for exercise.
