Rehan is a restructuring specialist, advising clients who are faced with operational and financial distress and heads up our Leeds office as well as working with our team in Dubai.

Specialist expertise

Rehan is a Managing Director and an insolvency practitioner working within our Restructuring & Insolvency team. He works across our Leeds and Bradford offices and with our team in Dubai, providing advice to distressed companies on their formal and informal options whilst implementing strategies to assist with turnaround and recovery.

Rehan has a vast network of accountants and professionals who look to him to advise their clients - directors and shareholders in small to medium-sized enterprises. Although Rehan has dealt with many sectors over his career, he has gained a reputation of assisting businesses in the manufacturing, construction, food, and retail sectors.

Having run his own practice, Rehan is able to relate to many directors and shareholders in understanding some of the smaller, practical issues they may come across when undertaking certain procedures and processes. He is often able to implement the legal procedures in a more practical and constructive manner to the business owners.

Recent examples of Rehan's cases include being appointed the liquidator of a large fruit and vegetable wholesaler with large amounts of bank and supplier liabilities and a variety of debtors across the country where he successfully assisted in collecting debts to maximise realisations. He also led the CVA of a construction company where funds had been halted by their initial investor whilst the project had not completed and assisted in sourcing funding and proposing a CVA which allowed the project to complete whilst offering a return to the creditors.

About Rehan

After undertaking all the training required to become a solicitor, Rehan decided to reject training contract offers and started working in an insolvency practice in Manchester, where he specialised in personal insolvency. During his time here, he helped grow the business from 10 to 150 staff, whilst also helping to set up various departments within the business to streamline operations and make the firm more efficient. Following this, he set up his own insolvency practice.

Outside of work, Rehan spends a lot of time with his two young boys who certainly keep him occupied with their extra-curricular activities. He has a huge interest in sports and during the summer weekends he can be found playing cricket for his local team as well as hacking his way around a golf course or playing football.
