Mark is a corporate finance specialist; his expertise includes working for a wide range of clients across many sectors, enabling them to create, build, grow and ultimately realise their value. His sector experience includes manufacturing, logistics and distribution, business services, telecoms and IT as well as professional services.
Mark is a managing director and heads up the corporate finance team with Ian Barton. He has over 25 years’ experience in corporate finance and has a demonstrable track record of leading complex transactions of different sizes across a variety of sectors.
He is jointly focused on ensuring high-quality levels of service and offers his unrivalled expertise to guide entrepreneurs and businesses through a transaction or transition by successfully helping them fulfil their ambitions. He also plays a principal role in growing the Quantuma’s corporate finance practice and realising the firm’s ambition of it becoming the go-to advisory firm for mid-market businesses. Mark’s natural ability to build strong relationships, his appetite for success and the positive energy he brings to transactions makes him one of the most respected professionals in his industry.
Mark qualified as a chartered accountant in 1989 and prior to joining Quantuma in 2017, worked for one of the big four audit practices and a number of top ten accountancy firms where he held senior positions. He also was a partner at a corporate finance boutique, where he helped establish a wider advisory and compliance practice, which after four years, was sold with Mark leading the transaction.
Mark is both a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales as well as a fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers. Outside of work, Mark enjoys a variety of sports such as golf, skiing and trekking. A holder of season tickets for both Arsenal and Southampton, Mark also frequently enjoys watching football with his sons. Built for stamina, not speed, Mark has ambitious plans to conquer the world’s highest mountain.
