Tom Maker is a senior manager in the insolvency team, operating out of the London office. He primarily deals with corporate insolvency, specifically Administrations, Creditors Voluntary Liquidations and Company Voluntary Arrangements, although has experience in an array of other insolvency processes.

Specialist expertise

Tom works with clients from a wide range of different sectors including hospitality, research & development, manufacturing and construction.

Tom has over 7 years of experience in the insolvency industry, during which time he has gained expertise in dealing with key stakeholders, as well as gaining significant knowledge regarding the relevant technical legislation. Tom has helped achieve positive results for stakeholders on a variety of matters, including assisting with the trading administration of a hotel, the complex sale of a Fintech R&D company and ongoing investigations into the affairs of a payroll umbrella company.

Tom holds both the Joint Insolvency Examination Board and the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency qualifications, and is also a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association. Tom obtained an honours degree in BSc Economics from the University of Reading, graduating in 2014.

Following graduation from university, Tom worked for a small regional accountancy firm in their specialist insolvency team, dealing mainly with compulsory liquidations, bankruptcies and contentious insolvency matters, before joining Quantuma in 2016.

Tom has a keen interest in a range of sports, including playing football and golf on a regular basis. Tom supports Watford FC through thick and thin, and attends games on a (semi) regular basis.
