Scott is a licensed insolvency practitioner and works alongside Ian Wright providing advice and assistance to stakeholders, creditors, company directors and individuals.

With over 30 years working in the restructuring and insolvency industry, Scott has extensive experience of all types of formal insolvency assignments, recovery, restructuring and corporate advisory work. Whilst most of Scott’s clients operate within the Scottish SME market, Scott also has experience of larger, cross border insolvency and restructuring assignments and has worked throughout the UK during his career.

Scott’s experience extends across a wide range of industry sectors including property, retail, manufacturing, automotive, leisure and food and drink production. Notable assignments include the sale from administration of an established soft drinks business to the worlds’ third largest operator in that market, the successful sale from administration of a key produce supplier to some of the very best of Scotland’s restaurants and more recently the successfully completed company voluntary arrangement exit from administration of a concrete supply company.

With a strong technical background and a wide network of tax and advisory specialists, Scott also heads up Glasgow’s solvent restructuring offering. Notable assignments in this field include the £25m solvent restructuring of an internationally renowned computer games developer.

Over the course of his career, Scott has spent nearly 20 years within the restructuring teams of two of the Big Four international accountancy and advisory firms and one of the UK’s leading independent advisory and restructuring practices.

In his spare time Scott is an avid Formula 1 fan, having been to several Grand Prix. Scott also embraces the more social side of life and is a regular attendee at music gigs with like-minded friends. A big fan of the outdoors, Scott’s down time often involves hitting the trails for walks with his Rottweiler dog.
