Paul is a Managing Director in our Debt Advisory team, specialising in debt capital markets with a focus on supporting M&A and restructuring engagements.

Specialist expertise

Paul works alongside M&A and financial advisory for funding and refinancing. He has been involved in a range of assignments and specifically works with sector and size agnostic businesses advising management, investors and potential acquirers.

Paul has 30 years of experience in the industry and takes a client-focused approach to assignments. His expertise can be split into four key areas; understanding the debt capacity, funding requirements and inter-company position over the next three to five years; managing the information flow to and from prospective funders and carrying out the required due diligence in an efficient manner to minimise impact on running the business; negotiating the best deal by way of a competitive process; and ensuring the legal documentation fairly reflects the agreed commercial terms.

About Paul

Paul has significant experience in banking covering cash flow lending, asset based lending and project finance in the renewables sector. He moved into industry in a HVAC business as a commercial director to effect a restructuring and turnaround programme before making the move into debt advisory.

In his spare time Paul is a keen traveller and regularly enjoys an overseas trip. When he’s not exploring different countries, you’ll either find him on the golf course or spending time with family.
