Máire is an Associate Director in our Forensic Accounting & Investigations and Asset Recovery team based in the Middle East. She specialises in forensic investigation, offshore and onshore insolvency proceedings, litigation support and asset tracing.

Specialist expertise

Máire has over 10 years’ comprehensive experience in forensic accounting, fraud and corruption investigations, asset tracing and recovery, cross-border recovery, offshore insolvency and international asset search. The majority of her work is with government bodies, financial institutions, regulated entities and professional service firms.

With her extensive experience and having successfully managed complex cases in multiple jurisdictions globally – including in Europe, the Caribbean and the United Arab Emirates – Máire is able to quickly understand the key facts and lead an investigation proactively and thoroughly.

Máire has recently assisted in the provisional liquidation of a telecommunications group with entities in the Cayman Islands, Singapore and Vietnam; led an investigation into the suspected misappropriation of assets by a large debtor of an Irish bank; and assisted in the administration of a controllership, and subsequent provisional liquidation, of a broker dealer in the Cayman Islands.

About Máire

Máire is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has a Diploma in Insolvency from Chartered Accountants of Ireland. 

Prior to joining Quantuma, and after she completed her Masters, Máire worked with a major government-run real estate agency in Ireland. She then moved to the Cayman Islands where she gained experience in offshore insolvency and cross-border recovery before joining the Dubai team. 

Outside of work, Máire enjoys diving, current affairs and spending time with family and friends.
