Jeremy is a chartered accountant and expert in real estate advisory and works closely with developers, investors and lenders. He jointly leads our Distressed Real Estate team, a joint venture between Cap Real Estate and Quantuma.

Specialist expertise 

Jeremy has been both a main board director and shareholder of two property development groups and was head of Real Estate at Grant Thornton UK LLP. As a Chartered Accountant, he has extensive experience in the restructuring of companies worldwide, from crisis management to finance, strategy, personnel, and operational restructuring. He has “hands-on” real estate experience having been a developer of residential, mixed-use and retail developments and has experience of restructuring companies worldwide.

Examples of cases he has worked on include the administration of Kenmore Group, a large property development and investment group with over £1 billion of debt. He was also involved in the Administration of Pioneer Point, a part-built twin towers of c400 apartments in Ilford and completed the construction of the towers, leased the commercial ground floor units and sold the development to a specialist investor.

About Jeremy 

During his career, Jeremy has set up two UK property groups specialising in the development of retail, residential and mixed-use schemes. Subsequently, he joined Grant Thornton UK LLP and became a partner and Head of Real Estate, advising on some of the largest and most complex UK property restructurings between 2008 and 2017. In his spare time, he enjoys walking, playing golf and wine.
