Specialist expertise
James has 18 years’ experience in corporate insolvency and restructuring, dealing with all aspects of liquidations, administrations, and CVAs.
His expertise includes managing the sales process of distressed businesses and he has worked on several high-profile restructuring and business sale matters. He has experience undertaking complex investigations and handling legal proceedings with a view to maximising the return to creditors and other stakeholders.
Prior to joining Quantuma, James worked abroad, dealing with offshore liquidations and receiverships in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) and other Caribbean jurisdictions. He worked on a wide range of cases particularly those involving cryptocurrency and digital assets and managed entities with assets in multiple jurisdictions including the US, Ukraine, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Africa, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Holland and Brazil.
About James
James started his insolvency career in London in 2006 and became JIEB qualified in 2009. He then lived and worked in the BVI before returning to UK based work in Leeds in 2024.
Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with family and friends and walking his dog. He regularly completes in both ultra-marathons and Brazilian Ju-Jitsu tournaments.
