Gordon is a senior consultant in the firm’s forensic accounting and investigations team. He possesses over 20 years' worth of experience in acting for a wide range of law firms and their corporate clients on a range of matters, including the quantification of economic losses as well as the provision of business valuations in litigation matters. He has also investigated the financial circumstances of the businesses involved in his cases and identified issues that might impact the liability arguments in those matters.

Having acted on some of the most significant and high-profile legal cases over the last two decades, Gordon's clients immediately benefit from the wealth of experience and insight gained during this time. He has a reputation as a formidable forensic accountant and expert witness and is the go-to adviser in this area of expertise. Counsel, with whom he has worked, frequently recommend him, but his credibility is best demonstrated by the number of matters that are referred to him by counsel on the opposing side.

Gordon has specific expertise in acting for clients in financial services, retail, manufacturing, professional sporting clubs and real estate. His cases of note included investigating and assisting in the resolution of claims in relation to a significant €70 million 'black hole' in the accounts of a European cash-in-transit business that arose at the time of the Euro changeover.

In addition, he investigated a claim for shortfalls totalling $40 million in amounts of coffee held in Africa as collateral for bank loans. He also provided expert accountancy advice to the Icelandic Special Prosecutor’s team in the investigation of the collapse of Iceland’s largest bank, Kaupthing Bank. Gordon also conducted a root and branch review of the underwriting and claim performance of an insurance policy sold by an insurer to an investment bank that was designed to act as a credit default swap.
