Ben is a director who provides both expert evidence and advice in relation to disputes, as well as conducts financial investigations. He has worked for clients in a wide range of sectors and managed all types of disputes for major international businesses and individuals. His experience includes dealing with consequential loss claims, contentious valuations, expert determinations, banking redress schemes, compulsory purchase orders, large-scale arbitration and matrimonial disputes.
Ben’s approach is analytical and sophisticated, and his work is noted for its clarity in dealing with complex as well as technical issues. His investigative work covers fraud, minority shareholder oppression and claims for statements of account. Ben's work has been relied on in courts, tribunals, mediations and arbitrations, as well as by political parties, major charities, national broadcasters and general counsels.
Ben attended the University of Cambridge where he gained a BA and MA in History. Prior to joining Quantuma, Ben worked as an audit trainee and senior at well-known financial services firms, followed by a forensic investigations and disputes executive & manager role at a big four company. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW). Outside of work, Ben is a trustee of several charities, and writes about governance as well as finance issues for both local and national media.
