27 jobs rescued at a Harley Street medical practice that had been suffering ongoing losses
Corporate recovery specialists at Quantuma have rescued 27 jobs at a Harley Street medical practice that had been suffering ongoing losses.
Sean Bucknall and Andrew Hosking of the London office of Quantuma were appointed administrators to Medispa Technologies Ltd on 22 December 2017, which traded as Twenty-Five Harley Street.
The business provided a wide range of private healthcare services, ranging from GP appointments to fast access to specialist consultants.
Quantuma director Sean Bucknall said: “The business was first incorporated in December 2013 and, following a fit-out of the trading premises, started trading in November 2016.
“The founding director had been funding and supporting the business to the tune of nearly £5 million to refit the premises, provide medical equipment and working capital for the past 12 months.
“The business is still being established but the founder director is unable to continue to fund the business,” he said.
Following an accelerated marketing campaign and in conjunction with advice and support from Crispin Jones, a restructuring specialist from Ashfords solicitors, the Administrators have managed to secure a sale of the business and assets to close neighbours 9 Harley Street Ltd, part of the Phoenix Hospital Group, which as part of the transaction has taken on all of the Company’s staff. This represents a fantastic result in the limited time available to secure a sale.
