Business advisory firm Quantuma is delighted to have provided lead financial advice to the management team and shareholders of VNA on securing growth capital from Arbuthnot Bank. The investment has also enabled the existing shareholders to sell a majority stake and retire from the business.

The company operated as a maintenance contractor under various framework agreements for housing associations and local authorities. Due to the failure of a diversification strategy, bad debt of £400,000 was incurred, causing severe cash flow difficulties.

A national commercial vehicle hirer were experiencing cash flow issues, owing eight banks and four vehicle manufacturer funders £164M. Quantuma advised on management’s cash flow issues and restructuring plans and set out some options.  

Huntswood Sports and Leisure Ltd are a company with the freehold of a hotel with land, buildings and a golf club just outside of Exeter. With debt in-excess of £2.8M, HMRC had petitioned to wind the company up. Prior to the petition and our involvement, trading operations had been transferred to a separate company.
