Quantuma, one of the UK’s fastest growing restructuring and insolvency specialists, have been busy raising much needed funds for their chosen charity of the year.

Following Simon Bonney’s commitment to run the London marathon in aid of Ataxia UK, the firm’s London office recently held a quiz at the Porterhouse in Covent Garden inviting a mixture of local professional firms. The quiz was based on famous TV quiz shows such as Countdown, Family Fortunes and Blockbusters and the evening raised £1,675 for Ataxia UK.

The highlight (and for some the lowlight) of the evening was Simon, dressed in his lycra running outfit with his Ataxia vest and neon yellow top as he has been busy training for the London marathon.

Including the money raised on the evening, and following the successful completion of the marathon in four hours and forty nine minutes, Simon is on target to raise over £6,000 for Ataxia UK. For those of you that may wish to sponsor Simon, his donation page is at https://www.ataxia.org.uk/fundraisers/dont-worry-simon-only-259-miles-to-go.

Simon said “Ataxia UK is a charity close to my heart as my sister not only has Ataxia but following her retirement as a doctor due to ill-health grounds, she is now the Chairwoman of Ataxia UK.  As a relatively unknown charity, we wanted to make a difference in raising much needed funds and awareness of this progressively debilitating condition and I am overwhelmed by the fantastic support shown by our clients”.
